Wi-Fi network has been adopted widely in Hong Kong. Its deployment is flexible and cost effective. We have seen a better Wi-Fi security awareness being developed in the past year, with the effort of the industry and government. But this effort needs to be persistent. WLAN attack technologies have been getting more mature in recent year. Defences and security protocols that have once been useful, are found to become weak security today. With the recent public Wi-Fi initiative, the wireless networking market is becoming even more prominent. So the need need to alert the industry and the general public to adopt a stronger security today becomes more utmost than ever.

The seminar will provide the most up-to-date information on the WLAN security attack technology and how to cope with them in technical and management perspective. Live demonstration is provided to illustrate how hackers can give us a surprise by compromising our WLAN infrastructure. We will discuss how enterprise should plan and implement their WLAN infrastructure to mitigate these risks.
