Business Continuity Plan is critical to the continuation of an organization so it is subjected to audit and review.

Like any other business activity, which is critical to the success and continuation of an organization, BCP is an activity, which is subject to audit and review. Auditors consider BCP to be equally as sensitive as security in terms of critical business risk areas. When the BC professional reviews or auditors audit the business continuity activity, they hope to find that the activity is being properly carried out and that the business continuity plan is comprehensive, current and appropriately tested. Knowing what the auditors or reviewers are looking for will not only make for a smoother audit, it will help to improve the overall business continuity plan.
