Mr. Alan S. H. Lam is a Computer Officer working in the Information Engineering Department at the CUHK. He joined the department in 1991 just after getting his Master's degree from CUHK. Alan has designed labs and workshops for students to get hands-on experiences in network management and computer security.

Alan has provided technical consultancy to government sector, broadcast industry, and universities on the Mainland. Alan has given talks about the Internet, computer security, and network management to the students, faculty and staff at CUHK as well as to professional groups at other institutions.

His recent research interests are in hacking behavior, computer forensics, network intrusion prevention system, and Internet2 application.
