Mr. Pang is the Principal Consultant and Partner of Alliance Management Consulting Limited. Being one of the first few BS 7799 Lead Auditors in Hong Kong, he is heavily involved in promoting the standard in Hong Kong.

He has been awarded as the Provisional Lead Auditor of BS7799 in 2000. BS 7799 is an international Information Security Management System in which he has developed expertise. Together with his experience in setting up security systems in over 50 companies, Mr. Pang possesses the essence in successful implementation of security management system.

Jimmy has set forth security management system for numerous corporations including NEC (HK) Ltd., Kintetsu World Express (HK) Ltd., Yamato Transport (H.K.) Ltd. and Sun Chung Property Management Company Limited (Under Bank of China Group) with reference to BS 7799 and TAPA standard.

He is currently teaching IT Risk Management and specializes in BS 7799 standard in City University School of Continuing and Professional Education (SCOPE) since 2000. At the same time he is also the course adviser of IT Risk Management in SCOPE, which is one of the only higher education institution provide training in BS 7799 standard in Hong Kong.

Jimmy is also heavily involved in promoting BS 7799 standard by representing Hong Kong in the second draft of BS 7799 which will be published in 2003. His capacity in this activity is the committee member of International User Group (Hong Kong Chapter), which gathers user commend on the implementation of BS 7799 standard from all over the world. He is now the program committee member of PISA (Professional Information Security Association).

Jimmy is trained as BCP planner, and beside his social contribution of ‘SARS BCP Guideline’, he also conducted BCP seminar for PISA and studies for both HK and Singapore.

He holds several designations including MPMI, MPISA, BS 7799 TAPA ISO 9000 lead auditor, BS7799 IUG committee member. He now serves as a Program Committee of the association.
