Mr. Howard Lau

Howard has been a CISSP since 2001. In 2007, when Howard was the chairperson of PISA, PISA joined the ALIG partnership program from (ISC)2. Afterwards, PISA and (ISC)2 had many joined activities in Hong Kong, e.g. the Youngster Information Secuirty Awareness Programs, talks and seminars, etc.

Howard is now a principal consultant in a regional company providing information security service and connectivity service. With over 17 years of experience, Howard has been a country manager of an information security company, a division head of a IT business, a product manager of telecom and security products, a consultant in OGCIO, formerly ITSD (Hong Kong Goverment), a project manager of major banks and financial insitutions in Asia. He obtained a bachelor degree in Information Technology from the City University of Hong Kong and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Hong Kong. Howard also holds the certification of CISSP and MCSE.

Being a volunteer speaker, Howard delivered speeches on behalf of (ISC)2 or PISA in information security seminars and talks. During these years, he has been procter or supervisor in CISSP examinations in Hong Kong and in China Mainland. He is now serving as a Vice-Chairperson 2007-2008 (External Affairs) of Professional Information Secuirty Association (PISA) and he can be reached at howard.lau@pisa.org.hk
